Welcome to 7/8 Art & Design

Hello students and parents!

In year 7/8, we will be making and responding to visual artworks and designs through a variety of themes, art forms and styles, how and why artists make art in the way that they do.

We will start to research artists in more detail and look at ourselves more deeply as artists, to help understand our own art making more effectively.

We will build upon our use of art language and visual conventions, such as the elements and principles of art.

We will learn more about safe ways to work in the art and design room, and how to make good, sustainable choices about the materials, techniques and technologies that we use as artists and designers.
